Bienvenue Louis

Louis Delaunay was admitted to the Oniris Nantes competitive examination for lecturer in Food Microbiological Safety and Risk Assessment on Thursday May 17. Welcome Louis!

Louis

Louis Delaunay had been recruited to Secalim for a position as Chargé d'Enseignement et de Recherche Contractuelle on September 1, 2022. He taught in the Food Hygiene and Quality unit on the veterinary campus, and carried out research in food safety and risk assessment. We were given the opportunity of an opening for an assistant professor position within Oniris VetAgroBio, with a research activity within our UMR. We're delighted that Louis has passed the competitive examination. He's a great recruit!

Louis obtained his PhD in Microbiology, Virology and Parasitology in 2021, awarded by the Ecole Doctorale EGAAL and the Université de Bretagne Occidentale, within the Laboratoire Universitaire de Biodiversité et d'Ecologie Microbienne (LUBEM, USC1504 INRAE) in Quimper, on “Prevalence and biodiversity of Anoxybacillus flavithermus and other thermophilic spore-forming bacteria associated with the dairy powder industry”, under the supervision of Ivan Leguerinel (Pr. , LUBEM, USC1504 INRAE); Anne-Gabrielle Mathot (MC., LUBEM, USC1504 INRAE) and Florence Postollec (Project Manager, ADRIA développement).

Before taking up his CERC post at Oniris VetAgroBio, he had been a temporary teaching and research associate at the BUT Génie Biologique in Quimper, while carrying out his research at the Laboratoire Universitaire de Biodiversité et d'Ecologie Microbienne (LUBEM, USC 1504 INRAE), in Quimper, on bacterial biofilms in the dairy powder industry and their resistance to cleaning.
