SECALIM has established a laboratory capable of contaminating food with pathogenic bacteria within a Level 2 containment facility. The laboratory was funded by the Pays de la Loire Region and INRAE’s MICA department. It is the only facility of its kind in the Pays de la Loire region capable of conducting small-scale food production and monitoring the behavior of pathogenic bacteria in food matrices.
